The Santa Maria Police Department honored its officers and professional staff on February 12, 2018. The awards breakfast was held at the Radisson (event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce).
LIFESAVING AWARD
Sergeant Nathan Totorica and Corporal Robert Prescott
This medal and ribbon is awarded for an act of heroism in a lifesaving attempt in the line of duty whether or not that attempt was successful.
DISTINGUISHED TEAM AWARD

Beat Coordinators, School Resource Officers, and Police Services Technicians
This award is designed to recognize the performance of units who consistently performed in a superior manner throughout the year or during an extraordinary single incident and/or major event.
